Bone Grafts

Bone grafting is used to regenerate bone in areas of bone loss. This is usually indicated when there is not enough bone for future dental implant placement. Bone grafting can be performed to increase the amount of bone to allow a dental implant to be placed once bone healing is complete.

Several bone graft materials are available for use, these include bovine bone xenograft, human bone allograft, or your own bone taken from another area of your jaw bones.

If there is not enough bone in the maxillary molar area, a sinus augmentation procedure can be performed. In cases of severe bone loss, block bone grafts can also be performed.
